Torek and Delaney’s slow burn romance in Beyond the Next Star goes through several transitions, from pet/owner to friends to lovers. Nailing those transitions so that their story arch felt natural and real and visceral was so important to me as a writer. And utterly satisfying when readers tell me I got it deliciously right.🔥🥵🌶️ Slow burn and forced proximity are two of my favorite tropes. What tropes keep you flipping the pages?
