Paranormal and sci-fi romance are my favorite genres to write, and for short stories in particular, I love returning to the magical comedy of my Witchy Business world. In Grave Promises (story 1), I explored a haunted house and the theme of unfinished business. Mirror Justice (story 2) gave a glimpse into the inner workings and high stakes of their witches’ coven. The characters in Fated by Fire (story 3) enjoyed a costume party and learned that Halloween may not be the only time a person wears a mask. For ‘Til Death Don’t Us Part (story 4) I wanted to explore a new aspect of Halloween, so I decided to trap my hero and heroine in a zombie-themed corn maze. As they navigate through the maze, they learn to navigate the twists and dips and shadows of each other’s hearts.
