Exploring Unfinished Business with Ghosts & Second Chance Romance

The very first short story I ever wrote with First Coast Romance Writers was for Romancing the Holidays, Vol. 1. It’s a story titled, Grave Promises, and it features two characters who have unfinished business – with ghosts and each other. This second chance romance is snappy, witty, and haunting; I thoroughly enjoyed bringing their…

Hit 100 pages / 25,000 words in WIP!

My word count for the past week was on point (for me) for a regular week, but considering I was on vacation, I definitely earned some brownie points. And pizza points and ice cream points, too LOL! Counting my pages from the weekend, I’ve officially hit 100 pages / 25,000 words in 45 days. This…

    Transitioning from Vacation to Home

It’s a gorgeous day in St. Marys, Georgia, which is definitely helping to ease my transition from vacation to home, but reminiscing through my pictures, I can’t help but miss Hawaii. Look at that sunset!! Poolside, reading a new favorite book… it’s doesn’t get much better than that.

Hawaii Vaca | Home Safe & Sound

I’m finishing the book I started in Hawaii, White Hot (Hidden Legacy, book 2) by Ilona Andrews, but there’s just something so much more relaxing about reading on vacation. I’m home, safe and sound, but missing this view!!

  • Hawaii Vaca Day 5: Manoa Falls & Ala Moana Regional Park Beach

Hawaii Vaca Day 5: Manoa Falls & Ala Moana Regional Park Beach

Hiking Manoa Falls was a gorgeous walk through the rainforest ending in a beautiful waterfall. Not the most strenuous or dangerous hike we’ve ever attempted, which was perfect because I could enjoy lunch and an afternoon sunbathing and swimming at Ala Moana Regional Park Beach without my muscles quivering the rest of the day.

Hawaii Vaca Day 4: Kualoa Ranch & Polynesian Cultural Center

The East shore of Oahu was amazing! In the morning, we took a horseback tour of Kualoa Ranch, seeing the locations of where they shot movies such as Jumanji, Jurrasic World, and the Nicki Minaj music video for Starships. And we spent our afternoon learning about Polynesian Culture, feasting at a luau, and enjoying a…

Hawaii Vaca Day 3: Diamond Head State Monument & Turtle Cove

From the heights of hiking Diamond Head State Monument to the depths of snorkeling Turtle Cove, Derek and I enjoyed a day of adventure, Hawai’i style! And we saw our first sea turtle.

  • Hawaii Vaca Day 2: Dole Plantation & Kaena Point

Hawaii Vaca Day 2: Dole Plantation & Kaena Point

From the Dole Plantation to Kaena Point State Park, Derek and I explored Oahu’s North and West shores. I don’t know what was sweeter, the dole whip or the surf and sunshine.

  • Hawaii Vaca Day 1: Pearl Harbor & USS Arizona

Hawaii Vaca Day 1: Pearl Harbor & USS Arizona

Visiting Pearl Harbor National Memorial & the USS Arizona Memorial was gorgious and humbling. I’m honored to pay my respects to the brave men and women who died on Dec. 7, 1941. Seeing all those names on the various monuments – men, women and children – and considering the ripple effect of the families who…

Hawaii Vaca | Arriving in Paradise

Derek and I made it to Oahu, Hawaii! We were upgraded to “premium select” for our 9.5 hour flight, so I felt very fancy in mini first class. And the view from our hotel room is spectacular.
