Wielding Medieval Weaponry at FCRW

Every month, First Coast Romance Writers (FCRW) hosts an educational workshop, and today, our presenter was Scott West, a history buff who shared his knowledge of Medieval and Renaissance weaponry! We had a fabulous meeting, learning from his expertise and having the opportunity to wield actual swords, daggers, war hammers, spears, and shields. He even had a chain mail shirt for us wear! I always take away tidbits of knowledge from FCRW to enhance my writing, but this meeting in particular refilled my cup to overflowing with ideas. And of course, it’s always wonderful to reconnect with my fellow writers. Now that I’m brimming with facts about weaponry, it’s time to lay siege to my romantasy trilogy!
