One of the themes I enjoyed exploring in Sight Beyond the Sun was the bonds of blood versus found family. Both my hero and heroine struggle with the role they were born into. Kinsley has always felt misunderstood because of her love for explosives, and Raveno has always felt inadequate when pitted against his father’s impossible standards – standards that as an adult, he realizes are not only unattainable but despicable. To find happiness, they need to carve their own path and find their own family.
