On Developing Plot

For me, developing plot is all about asking questions about my characters’ motivations and creating as much conflict as possible to prevent them from achieving their goals. In Sight Beyond the Sun, my hero is inherently a brave, moral, strong person, so what would motivate him to abduct and traffic people across the universe? My heroine is willful, intelligent, and courageous, so what could possibly convince her to be friends, even lovers, with the very person who abducted her? And most challenging of all, how will their deep, dark internal wounds be brought to the surface, exposed and eventually healed by the hard lessons they learn throughout their journey? I can’t wait for you to read Sight Beyond the Sun to find out!
